Application Process

Eligibility Requirements:

• U.S. citizen

• Age 17 years or older

• A least one parent must be employed by CPS

Qualified Institutions & Level of Study:

• Full-time study

• Freshman year

• Two-year or four-year college

• School must be accredited and in the United States

• Scholarship funds will be made payable to the winner's college or university

Application Requirements:

• Completed registration form

• Student-written essay

• Certified high school transcripts

• Letter of recommendation: up to three letters from guidance counselor, teachers, coaches and/or administrators (optional)

Submitting Your Application

To submit your application please send one email to CEBscholarship@consumerportfolio.com. This email will include all of the following:

• First and last name in the subject line (as it appears on your registration)

• PDF of your essay (be sure you include your full name)

• PDF of your high school transcripts

• PDF of your letters of recommendation (optional)

Applications received after 11:59pm on March 15, 2025 will not be considered. 

The Essay

Your essay must be typed, double-spaced and no more than 1,000 words:

Describe the world you come from and how it has set you up for success.
